To bring this strategy to life, the University of São Paulo inaugurated the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CIAAM) in 2023, uniting multidisciplinary teams and shared infrastructure to accelerate research and industry collaboration. Concurrently, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), in partnership with CAF, launched a regulatory AI Sandbox pilot to enable controlled innovation while safeguarding personal data.
