School of Bioinformatics for Postdocs and PhD students – MedILS

Dear respected Postdocs and PhD students! 

We are pleased to announce that our SCHOOL OF BIOINFORMATICS FOR
POSTDOCS AND PHD STUDENTS will be held at the MEDITERRANEAN INSTITUTE
FOR LIFE SCIENCES – MEDILS, SPLIT IN PERIOD 21ST – 25TH SEPTEMBER 2020. 

During the course, you will learn about the latest advances in genomics
and the most commonly used bioinformatics tools and methods, which
became an essential part of cutting-edge research in biology.

 	* Learn how to search public data repositories, obtain biological data
sets relevant to their research, and efficiently analyze them using the
tools available through the web-based Galaxy platform.
 	* Get familiarized with the most common misuses of statistics in
research and learn how to perform statistically sound analysis of their
results.
 	* Use the opportunity to reinforce the analysis concepts they learned
and work on practical examples, focusing on RNA-seq data analysis.
