Nedavni napredki so omogočili gradnjo kvantnih računalnikov z več sto kubiti ter demonstracijo kvantnega popravljanja napak. Kljub temu pa pot do praktičnih kvantnih računalnikov z milijoni kubitov še vedno predstavlja velik izziv. V predavanju bom predstavil IMEC-ovo industrijsko platformo za izdelavo superprevodnih kvantnih procesorjev, ki temelji na izdelavi Josephsonovih spojev s prekrivajočo se tehnologijo. Predstavil bom tudi naše nedavne rezultate na področju zmanjševanja mikrovalovnih izgub, ki sicer omejujejo koherenco superprevodnih kvantnih vezij. Nato bom obravnaval najnovejše pristope za krmiljenje in branje kubitov v njihovi neposredni bližini z uporabo nizkotemperaturne klasične elektronike. Recent advances have enabled the construction of quantum computers with several hundred qubits and the demonstration of quantum error correction. Nevertheless, the path towards practical quantum computers with millions of qubits remains a major challenge. In this talk, I will present IMEC's industrial platform for fabricating superconducting quantum processors, which is based on overlap Josephson-junction fabrication. I will also discuss our recent results on reducing microwave losses that otherwise limit the coherence of superconducting quantum circuits. Finally, I will outline the latest approaches for controlling and reading out qubits in their immediate vicinity using low-temperature classical electronics.
