Na tej poti, od dodiplomskega projekta do industrijske proizvodnje, smo odkrili nekaj zanimive znanosti o materialih, se naučili obdelovati materiale na robu nestabilnosti ter premostili akademsko občutljivost, da smo lahko financirali spin-out podjetje in sledili nekaterim nepričakovanim potem do zmernega komercialnega uspeha. V predavanju bom poskušal prikazati sodoben in morda idiosinkratičen pogled na znanost in na posel s piezoelektričnimi materiali.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:normal'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:normal'><b>O predavatelju</b>: Andrew J. Leta 2011 je ustanovil podjetje Ionix Advanced Technologies Ltd. za uporabo novih visokotemperaturnih piezoelektričnih spojin razvitih v njegovi raziskovalni skupini. On that journey, from undergraduate project through to industrial manufacturing, we discovered some interesting materials science, we learnt how to process materials on the edge of instability, and we overcame our academic sensitivities in order to finance a spin-out company and followed some unexpected paths to gain moderate commercial success.
