Lepo vabljeni!

*****

We invite you to the 7th Institute colloquium in the academic year 2018/19. With the invention of super-resolution microscopies, for which Eric Betzig, Stefan W. Hell and William E. Moerner received the Nobel Prize in 2014, this limit can be “broken” bringing optical microscopy down to nanoscale with a resolution of few 10 nm. In this lecture, we will present the research possibilities offered by our STED system using our recent discoveries of new molecular events. In addition to super-resolution imaging abilities this system can also provide non-linear excitation, spectral sensitivity and time-gated detection for even better 3D optical sectioning as well as spatial, time and spectral analysis of the fluorescent emission reflecting local molecular interactions.

Cordially invited!
