bo v sredo, 7. novembra 2018, ob 13. uri v Veliki predavalnici Instituta

Zvezni inštitut za raziskavo in preiskavo materialov, Berlin, Nemčija
Biofotonika in analitika - fotolominescenčne lastnosti nanokristalov in
analiza površinskih skupin
Poznavanje korelacij med fotoluminescenčnimi lastnostmi nanomaterialov, kot
so polprevodniški nanokristali in nanokristali s pretvorbo energije navzgor,
ki jih izmerimo tako v ansamblu kot na ravni posameznih delcev, in vpogled v
njihovo površinsko kemijo sta vse pomembnejša za uporabo teh materialov v
vedah o življenju in v vedah o materialih. V predavanju bomo primerjali
spektroskopske lastnosti ansambelskih in posameznih nanokristalnih emiterjev
ter rezultate preprostih metod za kvantifikacijo funkcionalnih skupin in
ligandov na površini delcev. Širši cilj teh raziskav je določiti arhitekturo
in površinsko kemijo delcev, ki bosta primerni za njihovo uporabo v
spektroskopski in mikroskopski analizi.

Biophotonics and Analytics - Photoluminescence Properties of Nanocrystals
and Surface Group Analysis
Correlating the photoluminescence properties of nanomaterials like
semiconductor nanocrystals and upconversion nanocrystals assessed in
ensemble studies and at the single particle level and studying their surface
chemistry is increasingly relevant for applications of these nanomaterials
in the life and material sciences. Here we present a comparison of the
spectroscopic properties of ensembles and single nanocrystalline emitters
and simple methods for the quantification of functional groups and ligands
on particle surfaces. The overall goal of this study was to derive particle
architectures and surface chemistries well suited for spectroscopic and
microscopic applications.
