Vesolje v laboratoriju FAIR - Naprava za raziskave antiprotonov in ionov
FAIR bo imel antiprotonske in ionske žarke z doslej največjo intenziteto in kakovostjo. Ko bo zgrajen, bo center sestavljalo osem trkalnikov z obsegom do 1.1 km, dva linearna pospeševalnika in okoli 3.5 km nadzornih cevi, obstoječi pospeševalniki GSI pa bodo služili kot predpospeševalniki.
Predavanje bo v angleščini.
Lepo vabljeni!

The Universe in the Laboratory FAIR - Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research
In the coming years the new international accelerator facility FAIR, one of the largest research projects worldwide, will be built at GSI. At FAIR a broad variety of experiments will be possible. Scientists from all over the world will be able to gain new insights into the structure of matter and the evolution of the universe from the Big Bang to the present. FAIR will provide antiproton and ion beams with unprecedented intensity and quality. In the final construction FAIR will consist of eight ring colliders with up to 1.1 km in circumference, two linear accelerators and about 3.5 km beam control tubes. The existing GSI accelerators will serve as pre-accelerators.
Cordially invited!
