* Description *

The concepts of information society, information era, infosphere and
infostress have by now been widely accepted. But what does it really mean
for the society, science, technology, education, governments, our lives? The
Information Society multiconference deals with information technologies,
which are of major importance for the development of Europe. IS 2012 will
serve as a forum for the world-wide and national community to explore
further research directions, business opportunities and governmental
policies. For these reasons we host a scientific meeting in the form of a
multiconference, which will consist of several independent conferences with
themes essential for the development of the information society. The main
objective is the exchange of ideas and developing visions for the future of
information society. IS 2012 is a high-quality multidisciplinary conference
covering major recent scientific achievements.

* An independent program committee

* One or more foreign lecturers

* Peer review of submitted papers

* Papers published in the conference proceedings

* Submission and dates *

Submitted papers must be original and not currently under review by another
conference or journal. They should be within the multiconference topics and
preferably not too technical.

* Robotics - 1 September 2012

The papers can be in English or in Slovene, depending on the conference, and
should be up to four pages long in most cases. An example paper can be

* Registration *

At least one author of each paper should register to the conference.
Registration shall be made not later than 30 September 2012 here:
http://is.ijs.si/is/is2012/prijava_eng.asp?lang=eng (the registration is not
open yet).

Registration fee: 100 EUR / 50 EUR for students. Education in Information
Society and FORSEE are free of charge, but the participants do not receive
the complete conference materials. Registration fee after 30 September 2012
(including on site) is 20% higher.

The regular registration fee includes printed proceedings or electronic
proceedings on a USB flash drive and two small gifts. Student fee includes
electronic proceedings on a USB flash drive and a small gift. Both types of
registration fee include refreshments during breaks and other social
activities. Visitors have free entry to all conferences.
