</b></font><font face="Tahoma" size=5>In the seminar recent results will

be discussed as obtained by Raman scattering and spin resonance

spectroscopy from new carbon phases. The discussion will refer to

reactions inside single wall carbon nanotubes, the filling process,

tube-tube interactions, the effect of high curvature in small diameter

tubes and isotope labelling of the tubes. The reported results on the

tubes will be backed up by the recent observation and analysis of

quantized rotational states in endohedral fullerenes.<br><br>
